Podcasting …. A word that has recently heard everywhere in midst of tech people... What’s meant by that...? This article outlines about Podcasting.
The term Podcasting refers to an audio content that is delivered through feed. Simply, it’s the syndication of audio files through RSS. It is similar to RSS feeds; the only dissimilarity is that, the feed that you subscribe contains audio files.
We can listen to the audio through a reader, using Ipods; else we can host them on websites.
Nowadays, webmasters are concentrating more on this technique to distribute the talk shows on their products/services/technologies etc. It would be more beneficial as it can be listened anytime, anywhere; mainly focused on the user’s convenience.
Simple ways to create and publish the Podcasts
1.Create an audio file
2.Host it on a website for listeners. (ex: switchpod.com, esnips.com)
3.Create an RSS feed and include a link to the audio file in the “Enclosure” field of RSS 2.0 feed and update it to a website
4.Your Podcast is live.
You can also optimize your Podcasts and submit them in Podcast submissions sites and directories like audio.weblogs.com
